Solomon Nights
For the nights the road is dark
The story of one voice, one guitar, and the songs written for the hours when sleep will not come.
Solomon Nights
The story of one voice, one guitar, and the songs written for the hours when sleep will not come.
The reason
Solomon Nights began with the hours when sleep will not come. Worry that circles, grief that waits by the bed, the long stretch before morning. I write for those nights, because scripture speaks most plainly there, and because a quiet song can hold you when nothing else will.
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Psalm 30:5. Every song here leans on that promise. The night is real, and it ends.
The sound
The sound is deliberately small: one warm male voice and one acoustic guitar at the heart of every song, with never more around them than the song truly needs. Kept that spare, there is nothing between you and the words, and the words are the point.
These are songs to be played low in a dark room, reverent and unhurried. "He giveth his beloved sleep." Psalm 127:2. That is the hope carried in every one of them.
The words
Every lyric stands on scripture. Nothing here is loosely inspired by a verse; each line is built on one, and the verse is named. Quotations come from the King James Bible and the World English Bible, so you can always trace a song back to the page it grew from.
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7. That is the walk these songs are written for: the dark road taken one step at a time, trusting the One who sees.
The sets
Alongside the music, the store holds the Seven Nights sets. Each one is a small digital bundle for seven nights of the hardest hours: art to print, a devotional to read, wallpapers to keep, and one song you cannot hear anywhere else. Downloaded instantly, nothing shipped.
The three original art pieces arrive as print ready files, each carrying a lyric with the scripture under it, in three shapes (A series, 4:5 and 3:2) so a size fits any frame. Print them at home or through any local print shop. Beside them sit a seven night devotional PDF, one short reflection, scripture and prayer for each night, three matching phone wallpapers, two desktop wallpapers, a lyric sheet, a printing guide, and one exclusive song written for that set alone, yours to keep as a download. You will not find it on Spotify or anywhere else.
There is a set for each kind of hard night: the dark road, the storm, the wilderness, the furnace, the garden, the open sky, the wheel, the chains and the rock, and more are still being written. Each carries its own exclusive song, and each is downloaded the moment you order.
The exclusive songs live only inside their sets, found nowhere else. If a song helps you through one hard night, that is the whole purpose of this work.
If tonight is one of those nights, begin with a Seven Nights set this evening. It is in your hands within a minute of ordering. Join the mailing list at our Join page to hear when new songs and sets arrive.
If money is genuinely tight right now, that has never been a reason to go without. Join the list on our Join page, and when the welcome email arrives, reply to it. The set is yours.
